Revealling Saj Ahmad, Part 2

A reader raised a question on another post whether Saj Ahmad is or has been paid by Boeing, given his boastful Boeing-boosterism and close relationship with Boeing executives.

Has or he hasn't he? That's a good question.

Fact Checker understands from three sources that Ahmad is not and has not been paid by Boeing. Following the exchanges on the other post, which referred to GLG, Fact Checker was provided the following Biographical information that Ahmad wrote on GLG.

As you can see, at one point in the private, members-only GLG web site, he claimed he worked "with" Boeing "to devise, formulate and execute strategies."

So has Ahmad been paid by Boeing in the past? Or is Ahmad exaggerating his qualifications and experience? Fact Checker doesn't know which is the truth.

To set the background, the information referred back to Ahmad's brief "About" on the presently off-line Fleetbuzz Editorial.

To recap, from his public blog, Fleetbuzz Editorial, Ahmad posted the following:

But on the GLG website, he wrote:

This was altered slightly a short time later:

Mr. Ahmad covers aerospace and airline discussion, offering detailed analysis and background. He liaises regularly with senior executives of the Boeing Company. He has vast experience in both aerospace and airline sectors, ranging from passenger operations, airside and landside operations, fleet planning & scheduling, cargo operations and logistics as well as general airport security. Mr. Ahmad also assists numerous Middle East carriers on strategies for growth and provides regular consultations with an array of airlines and executives. [Emphasis added.]

Still later, Ahmad again slightly altered his GLG Bio:

  1. Am I the only one thinking his 'operational experience' with 'blue-chip' airlines involves flying with them once or twice? I recognize CV padding when I see it.

  2. I have to ask, how much negative energy are you (whoever you are) putting into "exposing" Saj Ahmad or whatever you are trying to achieve?

    What have you got to gain from this and how do you have so much time dedicated to it?

    This is totally non constructive and way worse than anything Ahmad may or may not have said/done.

    Why don't you invest your energy into something more constructive. It might actually achieve something good as you obviously have the time

  3. Mike, you might better direct your question to Ahmad. Since the inception of Fleetbuzz Editorial, through and including his postings on GLG and his invitation-only blog, he has devoted hundreds of posts to "negative energy" as you put it, distorting the facts on Airbus, Bombardier, Pratt & Whitney and engaging in personalized attacks on many people and companies. Through his close relationship with Doug McVitie and permissiveness with "Erik Bloodaxe", "Paula K" and others, the "negative energy" oozes from his blogs and on GLG.

  4. I complete agree. I've come across the negativity from Ahmad, and it almost never gets addressed. This blog is way overdue.

    I want the CSeries to succeed for no other reason than to see if he tries to justify his past criticisms.
